Classic bay window semidetached house in great location

23 Lache Hall Crescent, Chester, UK
£ 270,000

Details

This is a great family house, being a classic 1930s bay fronted semidetached. These houses, in this location, are particularly sought-after so we can’t imagine this will be on the market for very long.

The house is set on a quiet street and outside the front, there is a low wall with some mature trees and access to a long drive that could accommodate several cars. The drive also gives access to the detached garage which is situated in the rear garden.

Ground floor. From the glazed entrance door to find yourself in a spacious hallway with a ceramic tiled floor, stairs leading to the first floor and doors leading to the lounge into the kitchen/diner and family room beyond.

The stairs and bannister are white painted with a central carpet runner. The decoration in the hall is in plastic period colours and in good order.

The lounge has a modern feel yet retains some of the period features and the current owners have removed the original fireplace and replaced it with a wood-burning stove set under a rough wooden mantle with a log store to the left. There is a bay window overlooking the front of the property and the floor is wood effect laminate.

Moving back into the hall and then through into the kitchen/diner. This is a large space which runs the entire width of the property. There are white-fronted kitchen cupboards of wall and base units set on two walls. There is an electric hob and electric oven under with extractor over. There is a bowl and a half stainless steel sink unit with antique chrome mixer tap. There is plumbing for a washing machine and dishwasher. The decoration is again in period colours and the floor is grey ceramic tiles.

From the dining room section of the kitchen/diner, you also have access through to the newly extended family room. This is a lovely space with plenty of light due to the glass lantern roof. This room also benefits from bi-folding doors which open out onto the rear garden. The floor in this room is would effect laminate and they’re inset ceiling spotlights.

First floor. On the first floor, there are three bedrooms, two of which are good size double rooms, one overlooking the front of the property with a bay window similar to the lounge and one overlooking the rear. The bedroom at the front has built-in wardrobes on one wall and third bedroom, which the single also has a built-in cupboard. Two of the bedrooms are carpeted as is the landing, the third bedroom as wood effect laminate flooring.

The last room on the first floor is the family bathroom, this features a three-piece white suite of panelled bath with shower over and shower screen, low-level WC, and hand basin with chrome mixer tap. The floor is ceramic tiles and two of the walls are fully tiled, there is also a chrome ladder style towel radiator.

Outside to the rear. To the rear of the property, there is a neat back garden which is not directly overlooked and has fencing on three sides and also houses the single detached garage. The garden is mostly laid to lawn with some planting down one side.

Property is freehold and room dimensions are on the floor plan.
